This harp-shaped decanter was originally produced to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Riedel. Its graceful shape, similar to a harp, makes it unique and particular. Georg Riedel once said: "I prefer to decant the wines, young and old, it is a sign of respect for the old wines and a sign of confidence in young wines. Decanting old wines moments before they are served helps ensure that the clarity and brilliance of the wines are not obscured by any deposits that have developed over time. Decanting young wines several hours before they are served gives the wine a chance to flourish and reach a stage of development that normally takes years to age." RIEDEL in Kufstein produces exclusively hand-made glass. Each hand-made item is made individually by master glassmakers. The experience of these craftsmen ensures that the quality of each piece meets the high standards for which the Riedel brand is known. Due to the handcrafting, small tolerances in dimensions and weight, bubbles or imperfections and slight surface variations are a characteristic of the product itself.
