CastelGiocondo Brunello di Montalcino DOCG (Denomination of Controlled and Guaranteed Origin) the 2016 was a very demanding, long and highly requested year, but in the end one of the best ever. The harvest was beautiful. The Sangiovese grapes are harvested by hand after having undergone a careful and scrupulous selection. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Subsequently the wine is subjected to aging in wooden barrels for maturation, refinement and balance. CastelGiocondo Brunello DOCG is ready to be placed on the market, 5 years after the harvest, and only after further refinement in the bottle. CastelGiocondo Brunello DOCG is a very intense and lively ruby ​​red wine. The aromatic bouquet is broad and extremely elegant, pervaded by delicious fruity sensations. Berries and ripe red fruits predominate, which accompany  an elegant and persistent floral note and spicy and balsamic hints. In the mouth it reveals a dense and elegant tannic texture which, together with its mineral characteristic, totally envelops the palate and impresses with its harmony. The finish is long, warm and persistent, with the return of spicy, sweet and balsamic components.
